Peterjohn 1989: "As winter visitors, White-fronteds are casually encountered along western lake Erie and accidental elsewhere". Peterjohn did not recognized conclusive overwintering of the species due to confusion with exotics.

1991-92: An immature (documented as a "Greenland race") from Pleasant Hill Res. (Richland Co.) 23 February; likely a spring migrant.
