American Bittern; Selected Reports indicative of the widespread nature of this season's occurrence.

Ruddy Duck: One-day counts by county illustrating the high site fidelity this species exhibits for specific reservoir sites during the spring migration through Ohio.

Surf Scoter: All Surf Scoter reports representative of the inland passage of this species during the spring migration; contrary to the fall passage where Lake Erie dominates sightings data.

Short-billed Dowitcher: A snap-shot (12 May) of the largest fall-out of the species recorded in Ohio during the spring involving some 900 birds reported from just 7 sites.
