Black-chinned Hummingbirds at Bosque del Apache N.W.R., New Mexico
After consulting Sheri Willimson's Hummingbird of North America here is my best stab ageing and sexing these birds. Although, I get to see 100+ Black-chins every summer in SW OK, I typically leave before young birds start attending feeders so I consider myself weak in ID'ing immature western hummingbirds (i.e feel free to correct any errors).
