The Shaker Lakes comprise 240 acres of parkland plus an equal acreage of residential area that is heavily forested. A census of this Cuyahoga County IBA is rarely given in total (would take all day) so when reading bird record from this area it behooves the reader to appreciate that reports from specific lakes are but subsets of the total avifauna.
