Gypsum Christmas Bird Count
1 January 2005

Thanks to the 19 observers in 9 parties, we had the best coverage of the Gypsum CBC since its re-instatement 10 years ago. The 84 species recorded is above average with Merlin recorded for the first time in the past decade. Other unusual species are shown in bold. Also in bold are high or near record high counts, while in red are those tallies that are well below the norm. Notably missing from the count are Hermit Thrush, Eastern Towhee, and Rough- legged Hawk.
